Well most of you have seen her before, but this is my 1971 GS 455 “Misty”
I’m Scott, and between trying to get all of this up for the world to see I work for Curtis at CC Technology in Midland, Texas. I have been a gearhead all my life I suppose- hell my mom has a newspaper clipping from when I was 18 months old where I was taken to the local ER for drinking motor oil!
Dad always had a race car as far back as I can remember, and from my teen years till now the car of choice has been Buicks. Misty is the total sum of years of work to get her where she is now, but the biggest change has occurred in the last year and a half. John Massoud built us a motor for Dad’s 67 GS California, but when the car turned out to need too much work, the offer was made to buy it for Misty.
Last year at the Nationals we ran a best of 11.34 at 119 mph in a 4225# car with power windows, seats and air conditioning! Well be ready for this year because there are more great things in store for the “Roys Boys” now officially the Buick Boys!
