Well the 2009 GSCA Nationals in Bowling Green have come and gone...and everyone has a story to tell from the event. The long lines to get in the gate, the rain, bad air, the rain, Odell’s wreck, the rain and lastly the races being canceled.
We had good weather all the way up, and no issues to speak of, as always loved seeing old friends- met and made some new ones, got to break out Curtis’ new car “Mufasa” , got up to early, stayed up to late and ran like crazy all week long. Some highlights other than the new friends we have made are that “Mufasa” ran 11.50’s out of the box, and took second in the car show!
As we all know the rain ruled the week, and we have some great (read funny) shots of that, on the way back to Texas Bob Frazee, Justin Frazee, Jim Turner along with James and Stacy stopped for the night in Memphis. Thanks to Oscar (pictures inside) Stacy came out to find ALL 3 of the rigs getting broken into! They were scared away but managed to punch the locks on all 3 trucks and Bob lost $3,500.00 worth of gear out of his truck. All of the cars/trailers were unmolested. OH, they stole Jim’s dirty clothes bag...
Last story is outside of Dallas, Tx where Dave Saye’s Suburban killed the water pump, when we arrived he had already taken a cab for parts...so we helped put it on then spent tons of time trying to figure out the serpentine belt....oh well we all made it home, at 2:30am...
