Another new member! Clayton found us on the web, and here is his story;
I'know there not GS's but cool ol' Buick's just the same. My 66 was bought new at Jim Cooke Buick of Louisville, Ky on 8-24-66 by my great aunt. She sold it in 96 to her brother in law which owned a used car lot. 10 years later I was telling a friend of mine about the car and he said he knew were it was. I told him he was nuts and if it was there I'd buy it on the spot. left his house and traveled ten minutes down the road and there it was in the garage. The man put 500 miles on it in ten years! She now has 36,900 miles on her just out of warranty. Original paint, top, interior (with the execption of a couple of add-ons) eng. and trans. Factory Creme yellow, black vinyl top, 340 4bbl, 300st, A/C, AM/FM.
The wagon is my newest project. Its a 64 LeSabre estate wagon. No updated photos yet but it's sitting on 18's and 20's and very rusty. Just building an ol' beach cruzer dumped on big Boyds factory A/C, 401, AM/FM, third row seat, power rear window and aluminum front drums. Was also a background car in the 1993 movie "Goodfellas". nineteen years in Long Island NY took a toll on it from the movie shot to now but still worth saving to me!
Thanks, Clayton Boomer Fairdale KY
